Monthly Meeting Outreach Sew Day

Please join us at the annual Sew Day on Tuesday, August 13th from 10am-9pm at the Longmont Moose Lodge. You can attend any hours that work for you. A brief guild meeting will be held at 6:30 PM.

We will piece blocks and tops for the Longmont Rocky Mountain Cancer Treatment Center. Kits are provided. We will have tops needing borders for the St. Vrain Women’s Safe Shelter. We will also have Community Outreach kits and tops needing quilting or binding. All fabric is provided, so you do not need to bring fabric. Kits include backing, batting, binding and pattern instructions.

We have lots of door prizes!

Please bring basic sewing supplies, your sewing machine, a 1/4” piecing foot, a walking foot and free-motion quilting foot if you have those. Don’t forget your power cord, foot control, needles and a variety of thread colors for piecing, quilting or sewing binding. Please bring a surge protector, extension cord and your rotary cutter and rulers. We will have several large cutting mats available.

Food and drinks are available at the Moose Lodge starting at noon for a very reasonable price. You can bring your own meals or there are restaurants close by. If you like to munch, bring snacks to share on the Snack Table.

We need a few volunteers to bring large cutting mats, ironing boards and irons to share. Please bring a portable design wall if you have one or more the group can share.
