Heart Blocks

If you would like to make a caring heart block to send to a fellow guild member who is in need of a little extra TLC or who has good news to share, please let a Board Member know so that we can mention it in this section of our website. This is a thoughtful and easy way to show these ladies that we’re thinking of them — imagine getting a mailbox full of hearts!

We also like to celebrate the good news our guild members have, so please email us with any uplifting news you’d like to share! You can get their home addresses from the guild roster, and if you need a current copy of the roster please email your request to our Webmaster at webmaster@longmontquiltguild.org.

The unfinished block size is a 5″ square and is simple to make. All you need to do is download the pattern, print it out, and applique the heart shape (your choice of method) to a background square.

Caring Hearts Round Robin

In light of everything going on right now, we thought a Caring Heart Round Robin would be a great way to show everyone that we’re still here and still active!

We would love for each of you to participate and start a new round so we get multiple going. All you do is create 3 caring hearts (if you don’t have any made), send 1 to the person below you in the roster and 2 others to people of your choice – include the instructions for what the next person should do.

If you have any questions let Sheila B. know! We look forward to seeing all the beautiful hearts you will create!
