This quilted book was made during pandemic. The designs for each page were part of a challenge from Anne Brooke textile artist on YouTube. Anne provided a prompt/inspiration for each page, and I interpreted each prompt. The prompts were as follows; 1. squares and circles, 2. kisses and a pocket, 3. color that you don’t normally use, 4. Woven, 5. 2 fabrics and a hole, 6. Circles, 7. pockets and books, 8. index and last word. I had a lot of fun with the slow stitching. Please feel free to pick up this book and touch each page.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator border_width=”4″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_custom_heading text=”Purple Passion – 2016″ font_container=”tag:h3|font_size:23|text_align:center”][vc_zigzag][vc_column_text]Pieced By Sharon Finch

This quilt was a Month-by-Month class at Quilter’s Studio in Longmont. The pattern is “Old School” by Quilt Soup pattern company. The quilt top sat unquilted for a long time. When I pulled it out to finish it, I thought it would be a good one to practice some custom quilting and digitizing. It was a fun learning experience.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”5654″][vc_gallery interval=”3″ images=”5736,5737″ img_size=”600×600″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator border_width=”4″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_custom_heading text=”Windy Day” font_container=”tag:h3|font_size:23|text_align:center”][vc_zigzag][vc_column_text]Pieced By Jan Timmons

When I still lived in Pennsylvania, I took a class that stretched our quilting beyond the basics. I learned how to use different materials one of them being how to make a three dimensional object. Hence, my quilt on a clothesline on a windy day. The quilt has been around for quite a while but I never completed the background until this year. The most difficult part of this was figuring out how to anchor the quilt in the box and still have it appear to be blowing in the wind.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”5647″][vc_gallery type=”nivo” interval=”3″ images=”5728,5729″ img_size=”1000×1000″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator border_width=”4″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_separator border_width=”4″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
